Miley Cyrus Tickets for the Concert for Hope

Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus has long been known for her generosity towards charitable causes.  The City of Hope project is one of her pet charities that she even donated a dollar for each ticket sold in her hugely successful Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds concert tour.  Considering the number of sold-out events the tour has been into, one needs no calculator to figure out she has raised more than $1 million dollars for that project alone.

On September 14 at Universal City, the tween queen fans will have the chance to get hold of Miley Cyrus tickets once again—full-throttle this time, and with the help from concert buddies Jonas Brothers.  The Hannah Montana star and the fabulous Jonases will perform for the benefit of cancer research.  This is the Concert for Hope.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus, the tween queen, is the star of the phenomenal Disney Channel Movie Hannah Montana.  A TV series about a young girl who lives a secret double life: pop superstar by night and normal school girl by day—no one knows except her family and a couple of friends.  Except for the “secret” part, Miley Cyrus’ character in the TV show is almost like hers.  She even has her real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, playing as her on-screen father (and with character traits and occupation resembling his own too).

Miley Cyrus’ popularity had its share of scandals and brouhahas.  Pictures of her in not-so-nice poses swamped the internet, her failure to buckle-up while riding a vehicle in one scene of her 3-D movie raised a lot of not-so-friendly comments from different sectors, and the latest was her “sexy” photo-shoot for Vanity Fair magazine which also raised a lot of howls from mothers and detractors.

Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers, true-blue musicians, have been on the road for sometime but got their greatest career boost when they front-acted the highly successful Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds concert tour.

After the successful tour alongside Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers have proven their worth and marketability when they staged two concert tours of their own: the Look me in the Eyes Tour and the Burning Up tour.  They have also fronted for Avril Lavigne during the European leg of her The Best Damn Tour.  The Jonas Brothers’ successful Camp Rock project and Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream have also confirmed their superstar status.  J.O.N.A.S. (Junior Operatives Networking As Spies) which will be shown in 2009 is another Disney Channel TV show that is highly anticipated by fans.  It is slated to be shown by May or June of next year (2009).

The City of Hope

The City of Hope National Medical Center, a major non-profit organization, is a cancer center located in Duarte, California.  It houses the Becham Research Institute and the City of Hope Graduate School of Biological Sciences.  Founded in 1913, City of Hope started as a haven for the TB-stricken residents of the dry and desert-like climate of the San Gabriel Valley.

It has now grown into an institution of more than 300 physicians and scientists, and more than 2,500 employees.  The center’s efforts are directed towards finding cures to various forms of cancer, diabetes and HIV/AIDS.
