Hannah Montana Tour Concert: To Be or Not To Be?

With the rate tickets are bought for every Hannah Montana tour concert, it becomes commonplace to have scalpers and/or resellers hawk them at exorbitant prices. This trend gives parents some reason to have second thoughts whether to let their tweens go to Hannah Montana tour concerts.

This eventually leads to parents trying to justify not shelling out from $100 to $2000 for their kid’s entertainment. After all, it’s just a concert. Or is it?

TO BE

What is $200 or even $2000 dollars (for those of you who doesn’t know yet, biddings for Hannah Montana tour concert tickets in some areas reach as much as this on e-bay or from some ticket seller’s website) for your baby? The answer? A lot! But then, she has waited months for this. The excitement and anticipation has built up to such a degree that suddenly telling her she could not go because of the price would be very devastating.

What’s more: she could understand the fun, euphoria, and not being left out when friends would talk about their experience at the concert the following day; but she could not understand the concept of a $2000 price for a concert ticket. This is a tough situation for Moms. You would not want to break your little Darling’s heart, would you?

If you’re in this situation, all you could do is to never stop searching the internet for available tickets priced at face value. We have heard of incidents where ticket offices miraculously show available tickets a day before the concert. You may even look for contests in your area. Who knows, because of your loving heart, you may even be blessed with winning free tickets! But if all else fails, you can hunt for the cheapest re-sell on the internet.

NOT TO BE

There are parents who would have strong feelings about buying concert tickets at twenty times their original price. They would say they are not willing to pay for a ticket more than its face value even though the concert would be extremely enjoyable and their children would have enjoyed it. Shelling out more than a thousand, let alone several hundreds, for a Hannah Montana tour concert ticket is unreasonable, unthinkable and preposterous.

Besides, there is the danger that spending that much for a concert ticket may send a wrong message to the child. You know, with the younger generation’s propensity for the finer things in life, and forgetting the value of money. There must be some other more important things to use that amount of money for. This also leads us to character building. How have we raised our children? Are they going to grow up well-adjusted that not being able to attend a concert when the rest of the world is, would not affect her? Would she take it as such that not being able to go is not a big deal? Or would she throw and tantrum, or think about leaving home as a sign of rebellion?

It would be good to have a balance of expressing your love to your kids by giving them what makes them happy, like a Hannah Montana tour concert. It would be better if you know where to draw the line.
