More Hannah Montana Songs Flood The Tween Market!

After the phenomenal success of the first album of equally spectacular Hanna Montana Disney Channel series, now comes a collection of new Hannah Montana songs that captured the fancy of most tweens.

This Disney channel hit series soundtrack of Hannah Montana songs is an exciting compilation of pleasant upbeat songs that features eight of Miley Cyrus’ singles and the rest are songs lifted from the same Hannah Montana episodes as performed by other young stars.

It is quite refreshing to note that real-life father and daughter can also play father-and-daughter roles in the same TV series and get endless raves, both in network ratings and in record sales. Billy Ray Cyrus (of the “Achy Breaky Heart” fame) must be proud of how his daughter turned out (perhaps getting more chartbusters than he ever had!)

ANOTHER CHART-BUSTER AND TOP-SELLER

This second album as two CDs. One contains the soundtrack of Hannah Montana (8 of the songs were sung by Miley) and the second CD is Miley’s debut album that contains ten songs. It was released mid of 2007 and, surpassing the first collection of Hannah Montana songs contained in the first released soundtrack album in terms of first week sales. It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and sold 326,000 copies and another 188,000 copies on the second week, making a total sales of 515,000 copies sold in two weeks. This double CD album stayed on the top five chart for ten weeks. It sold a total of 260,000 for December 2007 sales alone.

In other countries, the album landed number 9 on the Compilations chart when it debuted in the United Kingdom. It eventually reached number 8. Despite not enjoying any promotional blitz, this double disc set of Hannah Montana songs and Miley Cyrus collections debuted atnumber 86 in Australia. It debuted at number 5 in Venezuela and stayed in their chart’s Top 10 list for the next three weeks.

This is quite a performance for a previously little known actress. Thanks to Disney Channel’s creation of a TV series that hit the tweens’ imagination as Hannah Montana lives a double life: one as an ordinary student and the other hidden side of her is a hot blonde teen pop singing superstar.

These Hanna Montana songs sure have nice lyrics and melodies, they also make the fans experience the thought of being a Hannah Montana every now and then, as they sing along with the catchy tunes.
