Body doubles are staple production technique that is normally resorted to in movies, especially in cases where the scene being filmed is way too dangerous only a professional stuntman could do it. The producers of Hannah Montana tour concert employed a body double to keep Hannah Montana onstage while Miley changes costume.

The body double was on-stage dancing (as a continuity act) during the bridge of a for about two minutes but some private video cameras (which are not even legally allowed in a concert) caught the body switch. The video shows Miley being escorted to a trap door below the elevated drummer’s platform and a new “Hannah Montana” came out dressed exactly the way Miley was dressed. The double in that Hannah Montana tour concert, was holding a microphone, with the customary blonde wig covering her face, and danced around the stage until the real Miley has changed costumes and was ready for a switch back.

This is a normal production technique to help in transitions but some just didn’t like what they discovered and thought it was dishonest. Some hacks would even say, if they can use a double, perhaps she’s not singing the songs herself too.

This incident or “discovery” however, did not in any way altered the pace of Hannah Montana tour concerts as fans continue to fight for tickets to watch Miley. Not everyone agrees that the switch was dishonest and they were satisfied with the explanation presented by the producers.
