Hannah Montana Concerts: Hello Miley Cyrus!
Miley Cyrus must be getting jealous of Hannah Montana she now makes it a point to present herself in all Hannah Montana concerts.
DISNEY CHANNEL TV SERIES
Hannah Montana is Disney Channel’s hottest TV series, or at least hotter than The Cheetah Girls and as hot as the High School Musical. It stars Miley Cyrus who plays a 14-year old girl (also named Miley) who leads a normal life as a student by day but, unknown to everyone around her except her family and a close friend, is also the fabulous teen pop star Hannah Montana.
SPLIT PERSONALITY
While this TV series centers on the life of Miley and her Hannah Montana persona just get occasional exposure (during concerts,) Hannah still gets the most recall among millions of fans. This is so because it is the Hannah Montana persona that gets more exposure outside of the show, her music videos get played an endless number of times, and her face and name gets to be printed in numerous merchandising goodies like T-shirts, and she gets to be named in Hannah Montana concerts.
Miley Cyrus must be thinking of Vannessa Anne Hudgens who gets to be called Vannessa off-screen and not Gabriella, or Tobey Maguire who gets to be called Tobey not Spiderman. In Miley’s case, the persona she portrays on TV is more popular than her real-life identity. This becomes fictional pop superstar character Hannah Montana versus a real-life singer and actress Miley Cyrus. Who emerges as the one who is more popular? Hannah Montana. If Miley doesn’t do something about this, she loses because, technically, she doesn’t own the franchise to Hannah Montana, Disney Channel does.
Hannah Montana is a fictional character while Miley Cyrus is a real singer and songwriter, and the real-life daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus of the “Achy Breaky Heart” fame.
MILEY CYRUS ASSERTS HER IDENTITY
Hannah Montana concerts now feature Miley Cyrus songs as performed by Miley Cyrus, not by Hannah Montana. Even the album confirms this Miley Cyrus coming out by having it named, “Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus.”
During Hannah Montana concerts, Miley Cyrus make sure that there is a distinction between her and the Disney Channel fictional character Hannah. The 75-minute adrenaline filled performance also becomes a virtual concert of two characters. Numerous changes of costumes make this very apparent. To further emphasize the distinction between two characters, Hannah Montana concerts are divided into two parts, the first one being the concert of the Hannah Montana persona, and the second part is Miley Cyrus’ turn.
Hannah Montana wears a blonde wig while Miley Cyrus does not. Two separate entities in one single concert! The way Miley addresses the crowd also makes it clear that she is not Hannah Montana during that time.
Hannah Montana concerts feature Hannah singing songs from the Disney Channel TV series, while Miley sings selections from her self-named album. We will see if Miley would succeed in asserting her real life persona and if she could emerge more popular than Hannah Montana in terms of name recall.

I took my three grandchildren to see Miley last Saturday. I asked for one senior and 3 children and almost fainted when I was told the price was $60. - $15. per person. I couldn't disappoint the children and paid the price. In the future, please, display the cost of the movie. Sixty dollars is a lot of money for me to part with for a movie. I could have fed myself and my senior dogs for two weeks!!! I have told all my friends about the outrageous price and the sneaky way it was presented. The public will find out about this gimmick and spend their hard earned monies elsewhere. Thank you.
