Hannah Montana Cast: Presenting Miley Cyrus

Who is this girl behind the Miley/Hannah Montana fame? At 15, she turned millionaire as she was ranked number 17 in Forbes Top 20 earners under 25. She have won several awards, has two top-selling albums to her name, and being the lead among the Hannah Montana cast, is the idol of millions of tweens worldwide.

DESTINY HOPE “MILEY” CYRUS

Called “Miley” (short for “Smiley” because of her happy demeanor and smiling face,) she was born November 23, 1992 and daughter of the great country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

The main face and name among the Hannah Montana cast, Miley was born in Franklin, Tennessee, and grew up in Nashville. Her parents name her Destiny Hope because they believe she is going to accomplish great things. They could never be more prophetic than this.

EARLY START IN SHOWBIZ

As early as age nine, Miley guested as the character Kylie on “Doc,” a popular television series that stars her father Billy Ray Cyrus on the lead role. She later appeared on more productions including Tim Burton’s movie “Big Fish.”

HANNAH MONTANA CAST

At age eleven, Miley auditioned with Disney Channel for lead roles and “best friend” roles. She was not accepted then as the executives and casting directors of Disney Channel thought she was too small. She was so persistent that a year later, she was called back for auditions and got the part of Hannah Montana. Miley’s energetic and lively performance was the traits that landed her the job. This Hanna Montana was features as a guest “star” in the “Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” The Hannah Montana character created an impression and was such a hit that the Disney Channel executives decided to form a Hannah Montana cast and come up with the Hannah Montana TV series.

At this stage in Miley’s life, she didn’t even imagine that she would get to interview her own Dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, to see if he would fit as Miley Stewart’s Dad and join the Hannah Montana cast. The rest is History.

MILEY’S MILESTONES

Miley Cyrus got herself busy with concerts, mostly as opening acts for The Cheetah Girls shows, and by October of 2006, her first album, “Hannah Montana” was released. This album included eight songs which she performed as Hannah Montana. She also signed a four album deal that will be produced with her name on credit, not Hannah Montana persona. On December of 2006, as Hannah Montana, she sang her version of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” during the Walt Disney Christmas Parade.
