Do You Remember The Biggest Loser Family

Television has always provided people with a way to lose weight and to exercise. Ever since the early days of television when Jack Lalanne taught how to exercise, we have always had the opportunity to work out in the comfort of our own homes. On television now people can tune into a show that is called The Biggest Loser.

Over the course of several seasons, the reality show has chronicled the journey of people who really need to drop the extra pounds they have put on. People on the chow compete to see who can achieve the highest percentage of weight loss over the season. They don’t lose the weight by popping in a video that shows them how to do six pack ab exercises, instead they take them through a rigorous training regime that was originally designed for professional athletes who are getting ready to compete in the upcoming season. Many of the contestants have made miraculous transformations while on the show. Because of the show, many contestants have regained the lives they had lost because of the excess weight they were carrying.

Many of the seasons of the reality show have shown variations of the basic premise. The first season had complete strangers competing against each other for the title of Biggest Loser. Now they have shows that have two people who are linked outside of the show in some way competing as a team. Another version of the show involved families. Families of four or five were chosen to workout as a family and to see which family can lose the most weight. This version of the show was not a solo competition, it was based on the results of the whole group to determine the winner. The families were only spotlighted on two or three episodes before the winner was announced, so these families had to work together in order for them to learn how to lose weight fast and to allow them to lose more weight than the other team. The families were given the assistance of a trainer, and they spent some time at the Biggest Loser Ranch, but they spent most of their time at home. Each family member was taught to rely on each other for support.

The families found out that losing weight as a group was easier than doing it alone, something that because of websites such as the biggest loser forum, have allowed others to also discover when they begin their weight loss journey. Finding other people who are in similar situations is always an asset when someone is trying to lose weight. If a person is trying to go through a fitness program alone, they will have a much rougher road than a person who has help. Working out with another can be much more fun. You are more likely to keep exercising if it is more fun. The Biggest Loser families focused on the idea of using a support group. Obesity is often time something that is shared by several members of a family. When a group sits down at the dinner table together they will consume similar types of foods and will follow in the footsteps of what the parents show them. If these habits are not good, than a family will struggle with weight issues.

Families were able to change their bad lifestyles and start to diet and exercise when they were chosen to be contestants. The Biggest Loser also gave the teams a chance to bond over a common issue that was their weight problems. The families spent time together working out and cheering each other on. When one person needed the help to keep going, they had another family member pushing them along. They showed how much they cared about each other by always cheering on and supporting their family. That is what made the family show more unique than the other versions of the show.

It has been a few seasons since this version of the show aired. The Biggest Loser has continually evolved to make sure that it stays popular. Fortunately we will be able to see the Biggest Loser Families through the magic of cable television and the amount of hours that they need to fill with some type of programming.
