A Short Look At Playstation 3's God Of War 3 - Released At Last!
After so long, this week sees the release of God of War 3, the Playstation 3 stalwart which has endured three years in the making. Sustaining the vastly successful series from the Ps 2, this is the first time we'll play Kratos' saga on a next gen platform. Suffice to say, the wait has been well worth it.
The God of War series has at all times been a good example for action adventure mastery, and this game returns to show the rest the way it's done. We follow Kratos just where the previous game left off, ascending Mount Olympus itself to bring siege to the remaining Gods that banished him. This brings rise to a number of new gameplay promises.
God of War 3 enjoys a dynamic camera, swinging and looping to follow Kratos in a stark distinction to the fastened camera of prior instalments. The ascent of Mount Olympus also allows for some magnificent gameplay aspects, including flying up on wind pockets or fighting Titans over sheer heights.
Graphically, God of War 3 is very attractive. The character details are vastly developed, all the way down to skin pores. The varied locales provide a rich show of ingenuity, from the domain of the Gods to the depths of Hell. The gameplay in God of War 3 continues to set the bar, with Kratos having access to an innovative array of new weapons, all of which are able to play a tactical role in your varied confrontations.
It was nearly a forgone conclusion, however God of War 3 is an incredible game. Every attainable aspect of what makes a game successful is rolled into one; epic storyline, magnificent graphics and interesting gameplay.
